Latest section of Harbour Passage opens

The next phase of Harbour Passage in uptown Saint John has opened to the public.

The Prow, located on the south side of Market Slip, officially opened earlier this week.

Commissioner Ian Fogan said another section is set to open in a few weeks from now.

“The remaining section around the Fundy Quay is due to be complete in October,” Fogan told council this week.

“However, the construction of the first building on the Fundy Quay will have an impact. As they start to put structural steel, we will have to close down that section while all of the structural steel is being erected.”

The latest stretch of Harbour Passage includes new benches, more views of the water and public art.
