Man killed, woman arrested in Charlotte County crash

One person has died and another has been arrested following a collision in Charlotte County.

First responders were called to the scene on Route 170 in Oak Bay at around 5:20 a.m. Sunday.

RCMP said a 36-year-old man from St. Stephen was struck by a vehicle and died at the scene from his injuries.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the two passengers were not physically hurt.

A 25-year-old woman was later arrested in connection with the incident. It is unclear what charges she may be facing.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has security camera footage to contact St. Stephen RCMP at 506-466-7030 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
