Prepare for travel disruptions with stormy weather in Atlantic forecast

Expect travel disruptions due to nasty weather in the forecast for Atlantic Canada.

Wind and rainfall warnings are issued for parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Wednesday night and Thursday. A special weather statement says Newfoundland and Labrador will see freezing rain.

Bay Ferries has cancelled some sailings of the Fundy Rose Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. Northumberland Ferries also says it could experience service disruptions Thursday.

As well, Marine Atlantic has cancelled trips late for Wednesday night and warns there could be delayed crossings between North Sydney and Port aux Basques Thursday morning.

The Confederation Bridge advises that wind conditions Thursday morning may result in traffic restrictions.
