Man accused of killing 2 boys officially charged

A man accused of killing two boys in Saint John’s north end has officially been charged.

Roman Kamyshnyy, 45, faces two counts of first-degree murder following the Jan. 29 incident.

Officers responded to a residence on Skaling Court in Millidgeville around 7 a.m. that day.

Inside they found the bodies of a 10-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy.

A man was also found with life-threatening injuries and taken into custody.

Police have said the accused was known to the victims but would not elaborate on how, citing the ongoing investigation.

Kamyshnyy, who remains in the hospital, has been sent for an assessment. His case returns to court next Friday.
