Police have arrested a man and a woman following a drug seizure in Grand Manan.
RCMP were conducting a checkpoint on Route 776 on Sunday when they stopped a vehicle with three people inside.
Officers noticed contraband cigarettes and searched the vehicle. They found suspected cocaine and drug-related paraphernalia.
A 44-year-old man from Grand Manan and a 39-year-old woman from Utopia were arrested without incident.
They were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Mounties said the third person in the vehicle was released at the scene.
