3 Grand Manan residents arrested after drug seizure

Three people from Grand Manan have been arrested after drugs were seized in Charlotte County.

RCMP said they stopped a vehicle travelling on Route 1in Pocologan at around 5 p.m. Friday.

The driver, a 47-year-old man, was arrested by officers for allegedly breaching an undertaking.

Police said they also arrested the two passengers, a 48-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, after seizing suspected cocaine from the vehicle.

The driver has since been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking and remains in custody.

RCMP said the two passengers were later released and will appear in court at a later date.
