Fuel prices head up across N.B.

You will be paying more to fill up your vehicle’s fuel tank on Friday.

Gasoline and diesel prices climbed overnight across New Brunswick.

Regular self-serve is now selling for a maximum of $1.41 per litre.

That is an increase of nearly three cents, according to the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.

The price of diesel climbed by 1.5 cents and is now selling for a maximum of $1.47 per litre.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

Heating oil is also up by 1.5 cents to a new maximum of $1.36 per litre.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.40 to $1.44 per litre while diesel is also selling for between $1.40 and $1.44 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.47 per litre, diesel costs around $1.52 per litre and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.16 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
