Victoria Day: What’s open and closed in Greater Saint John

Victoria Day is a statutory holiday in New Brunswick, which means many places normally open on a weekday will not be.

Malls, big-box stores and most grocery stores will be closed, including the Saint John City Market.

If you need a prescription, some drug stores will be open reduced hours.

NB Liquor and Cannabis NB stores will be closed, but some agency liquor stores will be open.

Banks, post offices and all government offices will also be closed, and there will be no mail delivery.

Saint John Transit buses will not be running. Garbage and compost collection in the city will follow its regular schedule.

If you are unsure if something is open or operating on Monday, it is best to call ahead.
