Ground search efforts resumed this weekend as police continue to investigate the disappearance of Lilly and Jack Sullivan in Nova Scotia.
The two children, aged six and four, were reported to have gone missing from their home in Lansdowne Station, Pictou County on May 2nd.
RCMP said nearly 80 trained searchers from nine ground search and rescue organizations were involved in this weekend’s search.
Searchers focused on specific areas around Gairloch Road and the nearby pipeline, where a boot print was previously located
Police said a total of 8.5 square kilometres has now been grid-searched, and volunteers have dedicated more than 10,000 hours of time searching “in very challenging conditions.”
“Any future searches will be determined based on the course of the investigation,” RCMP said in Sunday evening’s update.
Monday will mark exactly one month since the children were reported to have gone missing.
