UPDATED: Severe thunderstorm watch ends across N.B.

All severe thunderstorm watches that were in place across central and southeastern New Brunswick have come to an end, according to Environment Canada.

Watches were issued early Thursday afternoon for several areas, including Greater Moncton, Kent County, Sussex, the Kennebecasis Valley and Grand Lake.

Forecasters warned of the potential for dangerous thunderstorms that could produce damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

A couple of severe thunderstorms rolled through Greater Moncton and Kent County throughout the afternoon, leading to heavy rain and strong wind gusts.
