Fuel prices climb in N.B.

Filling up just got a bit more expensive in New Brunswick.

Diesel prices spiked by 9.7 cents per litre to an average of $1.56.

Regular self-serve gasoline rose by 0.8 cents per litre, with a new maximum of around $1.47.

Furnace oil surged by 8.3 cents per litre to an average of $1.44.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.43 to $1.47 per litre, while diesel is selling for between $1.51 and $1.55 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.47 per litre, diesel costs around $1.59 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.14 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
