Full Harbour Bridge closures expected until early November

You can expect some full closures of the Saint John Harbour Bridge over the coming weeks.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure said brief intermittent closures lasting about 20 minutes each will take place beginning Thursday.

Officials with the department said the closures will occur outside the peak traffic hours of 7 to 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

“Delays are expected. Motorists are advised to plan travel in the area during these off-peak times,” the department said in a statement.

The temporary closures are part of a multi-year rehabilitation project that continues on the key transportation route through Saint John.
