Planned power outage in Saint Andrews area

A planned power outage will impact homes and businesses in the Saint Andrews area next week.

NB Power said the outage is scheduled to last from 11 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.

It is a “Priority 1” issue that needs to be addressed, according to a social media post from the town.

Crews will be working to upgrade facilities in order to reduce the risk of future animal-related outages.

“If the repairs are not completed shortly, there could be more damage and that could lead to an unplanned outage that could take days to repair versus the [scheduled] time noted,” said the post.

The outage was originally supposed to take place in late June.
