City crews will begin flushing watermains in east Saint John on Monday.
It’s part of an annual maintenance program that may cause cloudy water and lower pressure in some homes.
The work will run daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for several weeks, the City of Saint John said.
Neighbourhoods east of the Reversing Falls bridge may be affected while pipes are being flushed.
Residents might notice temporary changes in water clarity or pressure, but the city says water will remain safe to drink, and service will not be interrupted.
Watermain flushing helps clear sediment from the system and keeps water quality high.
The City plans to share updates throughout the summer as crews move to different areas.
