Teen killed in Rothesay crash

A 15-year-old boy has died after a collision between a motorcycle and a large truck in Rothesay.

Kennebecasis regional police said it happened on French Village Road just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputy Chief Mary Henderson told our newsroom on Friday that the teen, who was driving the motorcycle, died at the scene.

The driver of the truck did not suffer any physical injuries in the crash, she added.

Collision reconstructionists are still piecing together the cause of the crash.

Henderson said no charges have been laid and no tickets have been issued at this time.

Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not yet talked to investigators should contact the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force at 506-847-6300.
