Ellerdale Street Playground closed for fence repairs

If Ellerdale Street playground is part of your weekly routine, you’ll need to make a detour starting Wednesday.

The City said that the playground at 285 Ellerdale Street will be temporarily closed for maintenance.

Crews will be replacing the perimeter fence, which city officials say has reached the end of its lifespan.

The work is expected to take approximately ten days, depending on weather conditions and site access.

During this time, the entire playground will be off-limits to ensure public safety while construction is underway.

The City is encouraging residents to use alternative playgrounds in the area.

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the day on September 8.
