Prison for Riverview man convicted of manslaughter

A Riverview man was handed a three-year prison sentence Monday in connection with a 2023 homicide.

Michael Thomas Glaspy was found guilty in June of manslaughter in the death of Rodney Frenette in March 2023.

Frenette was working as a manager at Casino New Brunswick when Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of an assault at the establishment. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Frenette died of his injuries several days later.

In addition to prison time, Glaspy will be prohibited from owning or possessing firearms for 10 years. He will also face a lifetime ban on prohibited weapons and firearms.
