Man arrested in Brunswick Drive homicide case

A 51-year-old man has been arrested in Saint John in connection with a homicide investigation from last spring.

Officers were called to a home in the 650 block of Brunswick Drive on May 14, 2024, where a person was found dead.

Police say a postmortem and investigation by the Major Crime Unit determined the death was a homicide.

The department also said that the victim and suspect were known to each other.

The man was arrested on October 2 and charged with manslaughter.

He appeared in court on October 3 and was released on conditions. His next court date is set for October 31.
