Paul Andrew Anderson

October 29, 1964  –  November 26, 2025

It is with profound sadness the family of, Paul Andrew Anderson, announces his passing on November 26th, 2026.

Paul was born October 29th, 1964, in Saint John, New Brunswick to parents Clifford and Doreen Anderson.

Paul is survived by son, Jordan Paul, daughter, Sara Anderson, his several cherished grandchildren, siblings; Debbie (Milad) Debly, Dale (Linda) Anderson, Glen (Lynn) Anderson, Annmarie Anderson, Judy Badger, Dee Anderson. Also, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Clifford and Doreen Anderson, and brothers; Eddie, Peter, Garnett, and Darrell.

Some of his favourite memories and many fond stories told over the years were from his childhood, most of his favourites involved the River, he was always down at the water making rafts, fishing, even in the winter-it was his favourite spot. As an adult the outdoors was still his haven- he had a creek close by his residence that he frequented often that reminded him of his childhood. In his younger adult years- he would always say “his dream” was to live a quiet life and have a little cabin in the woods. Which he fulfilled. It was his happiness. Other joys in his life- he was an avid reader, enjoyed music, and loved wood working, and doing various projects around his property.

He had quite a varied career over the course of his life- his adventures started out in the Royal Canadian Navy, moving on to Humber College in Ontario for Law and Security Administration (Criminology equivalent), and then back to New Brunswick working at the Saint John Harbour Bridge for a time before his eventual move to Alberta, which landed him an immediate position fuelling the largest planes at the airport, followed by working up north on the oil rigs, and for the last years of his career he moved back home to New Brunswick where he was driving double bottom semi transports. It was always an enjoyment to hear stories of his career adventures, along with some of the amusing stories of his life experiences.

He was a very humble man, a fantastic friend, a great Dad (who provided much encouragement, and unconditional love), and a wonderful grandfather- his grandchildren were his whole world. He had a nickname for each grandchild, for example- his youngest grandson whose name is Freedom, is affectionately called “Freebie.”

He will be dearly missed by those who knew him, especially by his son, daughter, grandchildren, and his oldest sister Debbie (whom he shared a close bond since they were children).

Paul fought a quiet, and courageous battle with cancer for the past 3.5 years. He had a very optimistic, unwavering zest for life as he tackled this part of his journey, and was always finding the good in what most would deem some of the toughest of circumstances. We would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to the various doctors who cared for him throughout, as well as a special “Thank you” to the kindness and care of the Oncology unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

In the words of one of Paul’s favorite artists:

“Talk about a dream, try to make it real.”

-Bruce Springsteen.

“We love you, Dad” – Jordan and Sara
