City’s taxi rates under review

An annual review of taxi rates in Saint John is underway.

The bylaw governing vehicles for hire requires the city’s transit commission to review rates for taxis and limousines every October.

The commission will make a recommendation to Common Council about whether the rates should change.

Council has the final say on amending the bylaw.

Stakeholders and the general public are being asked to submit written comments.

Submissions can be made until November 7th.

Written submissions can be submitted to the attention of the general manager of the Saint John Transit Commission at:

Kevin Loughery, General Manager
Saint John Transit
55 McDonald Street
Saint John, N.B.
E2J 0C7

Submissions can also be made by email or via fax at (506) 658-4704.
