Certain Saint John Transit stops back in service uptown

Commuters in Uptown Saint John will see familiar bus stops back in service starting Monday.

Saint John Transit says stops at Kings Square North, King Street, and the bottom of King Street near City Hall have reopened.

A new stop has also been added on Kings Square South in front of the Admiral Beatty building.

Route changes, according to the city:

  • North- and west-bound buses (1W, 3N, 9N, 15W, 20, 21, 23, 33, 35, 52) will stop and transfer passengers at Kings Square North.
  • South- and east-bound buses (1E, 3E, 9E, 15S, 23) will stop and transfer passengers at the stop across from City Hall.

The city says temporary stops on Water Street and King Street East are now closed.

Drivers are being asked to use caution and watch for more pedestrian traffic in the Uptown service areas.
