The New Brunswick Federation of Labour calls the upcoming session of the Legislature very important as new Premier Blaine Higgs looks to work with and to get help from all 49 MLA’s to move the province forward.
Patrick Colford says he has a number of key issues he wants the new Premier to address.
“Workers compensation and workplace health and safety, protective public services, pay equity of course and labour standards not just for unionized employees but all workers,” stated Colford.
Colford says he is cautiously optimistic there will be more gains on the labour front because there have been improvements in the past six years and he wants that to remain as is.
