Not Much Snow But The Driving Is Still Slippery

Not a lot of snow for the Saint John area after all. Just 4 centimetres on Monday.

We could see another 5 centimetres before the system moves on early this afternoon.

Environment Canada meteorologist Jeffrey Hilliard says the storm played out as expected with mixed precipitation and he says the issue for today will be the winds picking up.

Moncton got nearly 15 centimetres and is under a blowing snow advisory today.

Sussex got 8 centimetres.

Saint John police report a few collisions overnight mostly involving people sliding off the road on Hickey Road and Manawagonish Road.

A road warrior for calling to tell us that it’s slippery on the airport arterial coming from the airport towards Quispamsis.
