New Brunswick has released the top baby names for 2018 — and they are quite similar to 2017.
The top five names for girls were Emma, Olivia, Charlotte, Amelia and Avery.
In 2017, they were Emma, Olivia, Amelia, Charlotte and Sophia.
The top boy names for 2018 were William, Liam, Noah, Oliver and Jack.
Last year’s most popular boy names were Liam, Noah, Benjamin, Logan and William.
Preliminary results show there were 5,448 children born in the province in 2018 — down by 1,095 compared to 2017.
