Ombudsman To Step In After New Brunswick’s First Integrity Commissioner Quits

The provincial Ombudsman is taking on an extra role for the time being.

Charles Murray has been appointed as the interim integrity commissioner

He will take on the duties while an independent process selects a replacement for Alexandre Deschenes who resigned and left the position on December 31st after being in the role for only three years.

In a GNB release, it says the Leader of the Official Opposition, Brian Gallant, was consulted on Murray’s appointment.
