Three 76 Year Old Celebrities Have Died So Far in 2019

A fixture of Canadian comedy in the 70s and 80s has died with the passing of “Super Dave Osbourne”.

The actor who played him, Bob Einstein, was American and has died at the age of 76 according to a tweet from his brother, actor Albert Brooks who called him a brilliantly funny man.

Einstein won Emmy’s for his television writing on shows like the Smothers Brothers and Sony and Cher long before Super Dave Osbourne first appeared in a comedy sketch on the John Byner Comedy Hour back in 1972.

Einstein was a regular guest with David Letterman and appeared on the comedies Curb Your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development.

Mean Gene Okerlund, who was the wrestling interviewer and announcer who would always end up on the wrong end of one of Macho Man Randy Savage or Hulk Hogan’s rants back in the 80’s has died at 76.

The third is Darryl Dragon, known professionally as the Captain from the 70’s duo The Captain and Tennille died with Toni Tennille by his side. Their biggest hit was called Love will keep us together.
