Team USA edged Russia 2-1 in the semifinals while Finland downed Switzerland 6-1.
The bronze and gold medal games will be played Saturday.
In Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action:
The Saint John Sea Dogs fell to the visiting Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 5-1.
Aiden MacIntosh had the lone goal for the Sea Dogs.
Saint John returns to action Saturday night when they host Rimouski at 7 p.m.
In the NHL:
Pittsburgh blanked Winnipeg 4-0 to extend their winning streak to eight games.
Elsewhere, New Jersey edged Arizona 3-2 while the Rangers fell to Colorado 6-1.
