Saturday Morning Sports For January 12th

In Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action:

The Saint John Sea Dogs edged Acadie-Bathurst 4-3 in overtime for their second win in a row.

Benjamin Gagné, William Poirier, James White and Filip Prikryl scored for Saint John.

They take on the Titan again Saturday night in Bathurst.

In the NHL:

The red-hot Calgary Flames got past Florida 4-3 for their fourth straight win.

Bryan Little recorded the game-winning goal in Winnipeg’s 4-2 win over Detroit.

Elsewhere, Carolina edged Buffalo 4-3 while Pittsburgh downed Anaheim 7-4.

In National Basketball League action:

Frank Bartley had a game-high 19 points, but it was not enough as the Saint John Riptide fell to Windsor 102-86.

The Riptide return to the court on Sunday when the visit London.

In the NBA:

Kawhi Leonard scored 20 points as the Raptors downed Brooklyn 122-105 for their fourth straight win.

In the majors:

Russell Martin is no longer part of the Toronto Blue Jays.

He has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a pair of prospects.
