A business in west Saint John is closed for the time being after a fire on Friday evening.
Brian Wilson, a platoon chief with the Saint John Fire Department, said it happened at the Pet Corral Nutrition Care & Supply Depot on Fairville Boulevard.
Wilson said crews discovered there was a fire in the ceiling of the store.
“Crews made entry into the building that had taken place in the heating unit,” Wilson said. “The fire was contained to where it began.”
In a post on their Facebook page, Pet Corral says there’s “quite a bit” of damage but no staff or animals were hurt.
