Woodstock Man Killed In Snowmobile Crash

Police say a 23-year-old man from Woodstock has died after a snowmobile crash in western New Brunswick.

RCMP Cpl. Pierre Chiasson said the snowmobile left a trail and hit a tree in Carroll Ridge, about 60 kilometres west of Fredericton.

Chiasson said another snowmobiler came across the crash around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

He said the victim was the only person on the snowmobile at the time.

Chiasson said the cause of the crash is still under investigation, adding it is too early to know whether speed or alcohol were factors.
