Work Continues To Remove Ice Uptown

The regular monthly parking switchover isn’t fun for uptown vehicle-owners.

What’s left behind is a lot of packed snow and ice where the cars were.

Extreme cold in the last couple of weeks has kept the layers of snow and ice from melting during the day and the buildup results in narrowing streets creating a big challenge for winter control operations.

City crews are working hard to cut and remove the ice and this work will keep going over the next days.

The equipment required to do this work is loud so it will not happen overnight in residential areas.
