Story Behind the Song: Peace, Love and Cowboys

Lainey Wilson has a new song out at Country 94 this week and it’s called Peace, Love and Cowboys.

Something, I always like to do when a new song is released is find the story behind the song. At its core, ‘Peace, Love, and Cowboys‘ is a mantra and a call to action – we need more peace, love and cowboys.

The cowboy imagery isn’t just about western flair but the values of loyalty, kindness and community. Wilson suggests that just like air, peace and love are essentials we sometimes forget we need. This song serves as a reminder that at the end of the day, unity and compassion are all that really matter.

Sometimes the simplest messages are the ones we most need to hear. Especially in this day and age and all that is happening in our world today. This song pulls us back to the basics: kindness, togetherness and maybe even a little cowboy rough and toughness.

Lainey encourages listeners to turn back the hands of time and to enjoy life’s simple things. Slow the heck down and live in the moment.

Pretty darned good advice, if I do say so myself.
