Jelly Roll is hands down one of the biggest names in country music these days. It’s hard to believe but only 3 years ago in 2022, he was thrilled to sell 1000 tickets to a show of his. Today, his shows sell thousands of tickets and rarely would a show not be sold out.

- He had to take vocal lessons to learn how to properly sing some of his own songs, like “Save Me“.
- Jelly Roll’s real name is Jason DeFord, but when he was young, his mother nicknamed him “Jelly Roll” because he was a “pudgy kid.” (Nice, Mom!)
- He didn’t see colour for 20 years due to diet (likely sugar/poor nutrition) but regained it after 200+ lb weight loss. Amazing!
- After a career as a rap and rock artist, he came to country music with “Son of a Sinner” in 2021. Are we ever glad he did!
- Jelly went to jail 40 times – and that isn’t the times he appeared there as an artist to inspire others (However he has been PARDONED as of yesterday!)
- His wife is known as Bunnie Xo, but her real name is Alisa, and she’s between 40 and 45 years old. They don’t use real names in their house, either.
