Fundy Winterfest invites you to join them on Sunday, February 1 at 6:30 pm for a nighttime snowshoeing and hiking adventure on the Wells Recreation Trails with River & Trail Outdoor Company. Cliff Valley Astronomy will also be on-site offering observation of Jupiter, the Pleiades, the Orion Nebula, Saturn, Mars and more with a powerful computerized telescope. Observing will begin at 6:30 PM and end around 8:30 PM.
You are encouraged to bring your own snowshoeing equipment. If you are looking to rent equipment, contact River and Trail Outdoor Company at (506) 849-7717. Please note, many have done the walk with just ice grips or winter boots. It very much depends on the conditions. If the snow is very deep, snowshoes are recommended.
After the hike join in for the astronomy observation, a bonfire and hot chocolate! This event is for people of all ages and no experience is necessary.
Non-perishable food items are being collected in support of the KV Food Basket at this event. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
