So, according to a new study published in “Social Cognitive and Affective Neuro-science” (got to get a subscription to that one!), The best strategy for winning at the game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors is”, to be as random and unpredictable as possible AND don’t pay any attention to what happened in the last round. The analysis of 15,000 games of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” also found that people struggle to be truly random when they play. More than half of the players favored “Rock”, “Scissors” was favoured the least, Also, players tended to avoid repeating choices, going for another option on their next round more often than would be expected by chance
It was also suggested that “Rock” might be #1 because Its more aggressive….. Huh? You can be aggressive with a pair of Scissors! and as for paper, have you ever had a Paper-cut? (They’re nasty!)
In the meantime, I’ll stick with “Rock”…. Good ole’ “Rock”….. Nuthin’ beats “Rock”
