Recently, Krista has been delighted to see amazing photos of Saint John popping up in her feed. Earlier in January, she reached out to Andrew Miller to compliment him on his extraordinary photos and ask permission to share some of them here on the community portal.
Not only are Andrew’s pictures breathtaking, so are the descriptions that he posts with them. Proud to be a lifelong advocate of Saint John, it’s easy to see this reflected in what he shares – visually and verbally.
From February 21, 2026:
There’s something about a fresh snowfall creating a fresh canvas in King Square that makes you pause.
I’ve lived and worked up and down the east and west coast of Canada and the U.S. in harbour towns in my early career. Those experiences gave me perspective in different ports, different skylines, different communities. And it’s exactly that perspective that makes me appreciate how lucky we are here in Saint John.
Our city gives me natural joy with the harbour, the changing tides, the seasons that transform our streets overnight. And it gives me historical joy with monuments that stand quietly through generations, reminding us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.
Are we perfect? No. There are things we can and must do better. That’s why I’ve spent years serving on boards and committees, putting in the work to help reshape our city in thoughtful, practical ways. Change matters but it should also respect where we came from while building a future that works for everyone.
I’m proud to call Saint John home. Proud of its resilience. Proud of its history. And excited about what’s ahead.
