Sports gives you physical and mental well being and is great for learning. Money spent on Parks and Recreation is one of the best investments a community can make:You learn to work in teams,sports helps to defeat poverty and builds pride and confidence,
It lowers policing and health care costs,it attracts and maintains population,it helps to socialize which helps to deter trauma and drug and alcohol addiction and restores neighbourhoods,it builds tourism.
We need so much more in terms of recreation and we need more people active and volunteers.
Parks and Recreation is one of the most efficient departments we have as there are so many volunteers,we thank you- volunteers are the heartbeat of our community.
