Saint John Needs a Recreation Comeback—For Our Kids, Our Health, and Our Future

Saint John has to refurbish and build many new recreational facilities. For many years we allowed our facilities to become run down and we closed two rinks and 7 fields at the same time cities like Moncton and Fredericton were building new ones.

I coached, organized and raised money for 8 different boys and girls sports for decades and in the last 20 years really saw us go down hill. One of the reasons I ran for council was to change this and we have a lot to do.

Recreation teaches us to work in teams,it’s great for our mental and physical health, lowers crime and poverty and the costs of our health care system.Recreation attracts and maintains a population and is very forward thinking.Recreation is a great investment!

We still have lots to do as we fell far behind,we need to be proud of our facilities.Recreation attracts tourists and adds to learning and discipline.

❤️ Love Saint John, we need to make it Better !
