Saint John Blossoms: Children Start Planting as 29-Year Marigold Tradition Continues to Grow

The children start growing their marigolds on Monday now that the March Break is over. 40 schools and hundreds of children,Teachers,EAs, staff, parents, grandparents and volunteers will get their hands into rich Mother Earth. This is our 29 th year, over 5 million marigolds and 46 gardens a year. Thank you sponsors !

The marigolds will be planted outside for all to enjoy at the end of May/ first of June and many lasted until November last year.

We have kept records and we now have 6 weeks longer growing, much, much dryer and our fog is only about 1/3 of what we once had.

Thousands of citizens have :

cleaned over 500 encampments and vacant lots, created 240 murals, planted 4,000 spruce trees, painted and some times fixed doors, steps and siding on three hundred homes for those in need, plus we cleaned all of our utility poles and painted many guard rails.

We love ❤️ Saint John !
