No injuries after Princess Street fire

A dryer was the cause of a fire in uptown Saint John Monday night.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Saint John firefighters responded to a call about an electrical problem in the Princess Street area around 8 p.m.

When they arrived on scene, crews from Engine 1 discovered a dryer was the source of the fire.

A second alarm was called to bring in additional firefighters to assist.

The fire was quickly contained and crews conducted a search of the building to ensure the safety of all occupants.
