On this date in Country Music (April 29)

It seems like only yesterday. Do you remember these events when they happened?

2005 – Things get musical on Reba when Reba McEntire’s character follows her daughter Cheyenne to a karaoke bar—and winds up singing “9 to 5” with Cheyenne and her ex‑husband’s wife.

2007 – Joe Nichols handles “The Star‑Spangled Banner” at the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway. Jeff Foxworthy is grand marshal, and Jeff Gordon drives to victory.

2016 – Sam Hunt turns his “House Party” performance into a real party, welcoming surprise guests Snoop Dogg, G‑Eazy, and Bebe Rexha on stage at Stagecoach.

2017 – It’s a feel‑good moment as Little Big Town pop up on Sesame Street, performing “I Is For Instruments” in a brand‑new episode

2020 – The mystery is solved on The Masked Singer as Hunter Hayes is unmasked as the Astronaut. The episode also includes the Rhino covering “Die a Happy Man” and the Night Angel performing “Black Velvet.”
