September 16, 1959 ~ April 6, 2026 (age 66)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harvey Joseph LeBlanc announce his passing at his home in Fredericton.
Left to grieve are his beloved children Cheyenne LeBlanc of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador; and Joshua (Katherine) LeBlanc and grandsons Jacob and Oliver of Orleans, Ontario. In New Brunswick he will be mourned by brothers Claude (Rose), and Doug (Melinda Cook); and his nieces Amanda Batten and Tabitha Holden, and nephew Jeffrey LeBlanc. He was blessed to have a large extended family in the Saint John area, and a few cherished friends, and he will be missed by many people.
Harvey was a proud veteran, having served in the Canadian navy for six years as a young man. Returning from his military service, he settled in Saint John where he made a living in construction for several years while his children were young. His path then led him to Alberta where he worked in construction for twenty years before he felt the Maritimes calling him home. He returned to New Brunswick in 2019, and finished his working years employed by the Municipal Group of Companies in Fredericton.
When Harvey could, he enjoyed outdoor activities (especially fishing), music (especially a concert or a kitchen party), playing cards (especially crib), and having a good chat (especially with – or about – his children).
Harvey was predeceased by his father, Joseph LeBlanc; his mother, Eloise Arseneault LeBlanc; and Linda Batt, who blessed him with Josh and Cheyenne.
Arrangements are in the care of Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, E2G 2J3;(506)646-2424. A Funeral service will be held on April 18th at 12:00pm, followed by a reception onsite. Internment will then take place in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, 327 Westmorland Road, Saint John. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of the donor’s choice, or a simple act of kindness to someone in need would be appreciated by the family.
