Glen Robert Goguen

October 10, 1954 ~ April 8, 2026 (age 71)

It is with great sadness that the family of Glen Robert Goguen announce his passing on April 8, 2026, at the age of 71, at the Loch Lomond Village. Born on October 10, 1954, in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Armand and May (née Lorette) Goguen.

Glen is lovingly remembered by his wife Carol Cook; his daughter, Robyn Kinney (Josh) of Edmonton, AB; and his step-daughter, Heather Cook (Peter). He was a proud grandfather to Tyler. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Goguen (Brenda), and his sister, Gina Goguen, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Glen was predeceased by his brothers, Gary Goguen and Richard Goguen (in infancy).

Glen graduated from St. Malachy’s High School and went on to build a strong work ethic throughout his career as a machine operator. He spent 24 years at the Saint John Sugar Refinery, followed by 11 years with Saputo.

At home, Glen was happiest keeping busy. He and Carol spent many hours tending to their vegetable garden, and he always enjoyed a good puzzle or settling in with a Stephen King novel. He was an avid darts player and served for several years as captain of the Panthers team with the Saint John City and District Darts league. He also loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing at Cassidy Lake with his Dad.

Known as a true jack of all trades, Glen could fix or build just about anything. He played a hands-on role in building the home he shared with Carol and had skills ranging from electrical and carpentry to painting and automotive repair. Glen was a person who would give a helping hand to anyone in need. In quieter moments, he also enjoyed woodworking and took pride in the carvings he created. Glen also had a special place in his heart for his Siamese cats (Ming & China) who he adored and treated as his own little fur babies.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Maple House at Loch Lomond Village for their kindness and care.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Donates can be made to the Loch Lomond foundation (recreation), Saint John SPCA or donor’s choice.
