Peter Charles Bonner

October 18, 1967 ~ April 10, 2026 (age 58)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Peter Bonner announce his peaceful passing in the early hours of April 10,2026 at his residence in Moncton, NB. 

Born in Fredericton N.B on October 18, 1967., however shortly after birth relocated to Saint John, New Brunswick where he spent all of his childhood years, in East Saint John, more specifically Johnston Road/Treadwell Lake area.

After graduating from Simonds High School Peter pursued a career in radio broadcasting working as a DJ for local radio stations including C98, K100 and CFBC before moving to Amherst, Nova Scotia and working for Magic97 radio station.   It was there while living in the basement apartment of a funeral home where Peter decided to go back to school to become a licensed Funeral Director.  He moved to Kentville NS where he graduated from Kingstec Community College in 1994.  Upon graduation he returned home to Saint John where he worked at Brenan’s Funeral Home for several years before taking an opportunity at Fundy Funeral home.  Peter later returned to school to pursue further post secondary studies at UNBSJ working towards an undergraduate degree.  While attending UNB Peter accepted an opportunity working as an account executive with Exxon Mobile in Saint John until 2013 when he relocated to Moncton, NB for further opportunities within Exxon Mobile.   


Peter was survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his sister Catherine Walsh (Stephen) of Saint John, brother Christopher Bonner (Tracy) of Sussex and nephew Liam Bonner, nieces Audrey and Sophia Walsh and Olivia Bonner of Saint John. Peter will also be missed by his dog, Frankie and his cat Eleanor.

Peter was pre-deceased by his parents Francis (Frank) and M. Ann Bonner and his grand parents Charles and Dorothea O’Brien and Thomas and Eileen Bonner.

Arrangement are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Street, Saint John, NB, E2J 2G3. (506)646-2424. As per Peter’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will take place in the Chapel on Monday April 20th at 2:00pm. For those wishing to honor Peter’s memory, donations can be made to SPCA, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Mental Health Association.
