September 21, 1946 ~ April 13, 2026 (age 79)
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Rose Nadeau announce her peaceful passing surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospital on the morning of Monday April 13, 2026. Born in Saint John, NB on August 21, 1946, she was the only child of the late Allister and Frances (Waterall) Blizzard.
Margaret was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She graduated from hairdressing at Saint John Vocational School, ran a salon and sold Avon for many years. She also worked for Carlton Cards and Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club where she made many friendships. While raising her children you would find her at local hockey rinks, basketball courts, bowling alleys and football fields. She was also a very proud Dance Mom. She always encouraged her children to stay active within the community and be involved in sports and many activities.
She volunteered for the Canada Games, Acadian Games, Contact East Music Festival and Festival by the Sea. She spent time in the canteen on Friday nights at the North End Community Center, Legions for the Poppy Campaign and many other events where a helping hand was needed.
She was the life of the party and loved music and dancing. On weekends you would find her at Oak Point Campground and in earlier years she loved to travel in the transport truck throughout Canada and United States with her life partner and best friend Norris and countless days at the Adanac with friends.
She enjoyed teaching line dancing and loved to jive. Margaret had a special place in her heart for all animals and adored her feline companion Boots. Those who knew and loved Margaret, will miss her dearly.
Margaret is survived by her devoted spouse of over 30 years Norris Trevors of Saint John; her daughters Lisa Martin (Fabien) of Willow Grove, Renée Nadeau (Todd) of Timberlea, NS and Nicole Nadeau of Saint John and her only son Chris Martin (Jean) of Grand Bay; precious grandchildren Amanda, Julianna, Matthew, Marcus, Marlon, Riley, Alex and Ben; along with great-grandchildren Cooper, Wyatt, Emma, Ava and Scarlet.
Along with her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband Norman in 1992.
