Saint John River levels in the Saint John area remain within the Watch Zone and are currently stable; however, conditions are slowly trending upward toward the Warning Level. While no flooding is anticipated at this time, residents living along the river are encouraged to remain vigilant and monitor changing water conditions closely.
Residents who live near the river, low‑lying areas, or flood‑prone locations are reminded to:
- Regularly observe water levels along their property
- Secure loose items near the shoreline
- Ensure sump pumps and drainage systems are functioning properly
- Review personal flood preparedness plans
- Stay informed through trusted local information sources
While remaining within the Watch Zone, rising water conditions can change with weather patterns and upstream flow. Early awareness and preparedness help reduce risk and ensure personal safety.
The SJEMO continues to monitor flooding forecasts and will update the public as needed.
