Saint John hotel workers get new deal

Workers at an uptown Saint John hotel have reached a tentative agreement with their employer.

Unifor Local 2002 represents employees at Saint John Harbourfront Hotel.

Until earlier this year, the hotel was part of the Hilton brand.

A release from Unifor says the bargaining committee reached an agreement April 24, after only a few days at the table.

“The committee believes this agreement addresses the key priorities identified by our members,” the release said.

The next step will be for union members to review the terms of the deal and participate in a ratification vote.

No details about when that vote might happen have been released.
