Planning a night out in uptown just got easier, with more free parking options in the designated Entertainment District.
The City of Saint John is providing free overnight parking on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. within the designated Entertainment District, until October 31.
Entertainment District Boundaries
As defined in Schedule I‑1 of the Traffic By‑Law, the Entertainment District is the area bounded by Water Street and Charlotte Street, from King Street to Duke Street. (See images below for reference.)
On‑Street Parking
On‑street parking in the Entertainment District remains free every night from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Regular daytime parking rules continue to apply from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
City‑Managed Parking Lots
All City‑managed parking lots, excluding the Market Square and Peel Plaza parking garages, also offer free overnight parking from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
