June 15, 1940 – May 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Glenn Trueman Short, a 52-year resident of Grand Bay-Westfield, occurred on May 6, 2026. Glenn was born June 15, 1940 to Charles “Russell” Short and Mabel Grace (Crandall) of Saint John.
He was born and raised in Saint John, where he met his beautiful wife of 62 years Rosemarie Margaret (Cave) Short.
Glenn was a proud Ships Plater with the Saint John Dry Dock of 25+ years. He was also an outdoorsman enjoying hunting, camping, snowmobiling and ATV’ing. He loved being at his camp on Robinhood Lake spending time with family and friends.
He also enjoyed playing bingo and watching the Toronto Blue Jays, the Maple Leafs and was an avid curling fan.
In addition to his wife Rosemarie, Glenn is survived by his daughters Kimberly, Kathy Lawrence, Kelly (Doug), son Kevin and sister Audrey Leverington (Calgary). A grandfather to Andrea, Andrew, Taylor, Sieherra, Nicholas, Chloe, Carter and Jax.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Russell Short; sister, Verna Webb; brothers, Gerald and Carl; daughter, Carol Grace.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), a visitation will be held Monday, May 11, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at Grand Bay Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at the Church.
