IWK ATV Poker Run Recap 2026

May 2nd was the date of the 10th annual IWK ATV Poker Run, one of the largest poker runs in New Brunswick! It was an incredible turnout this year, as nearly 700 riders registered for the event! Covering a loop of nearly 90km, their route took them through a section of the Saint John River valley between Evendale and Washademoak Lake. With a total ride time of nearly 8 hours (with breaks) and a route containing everything from a cable ferry ride, to some rough trails and pretty deep water holes, the ride definitely tested the skills and techniques of all riders involved. And with the recent rain, staying clean wasn’t an option! But then, isn’t that part of the fun of ATV riding?!

The event was able to raise over $28,000 in funds to help support the IWK. In addition to the poker hand winners throughout the day, one lucky participant also took home a 50/50 prize of $1,780. With a lunch provided for the riders, event organizers say they served up over 800 hotdogs!

“None of this would have been possible without our sponsors and all of our amazing volunteers”, says event organizer Jody Wiggins. “Thank you each and every one of you for making ten years of this event beyond successful”.

You can watch a full video of all the fun below. A very special thanks to Oak Hill Crew for supplying all pictures and video. And make sure to keep an eye out for the announcement of next year’s event!
